OK, so I finally found a rear sway bar and a 'Grand Prix cross brace'. But they're at the auto wreckers and I gotta take them off myself. So what size are the bolt holding these pieces on? I gotta borrow the tools from a buddy, and it would be easier to know the right size rather than to take the whole tool box.

And as an added bonus, the car is already on a stand so it should be easy to get at lol.

Also, if it has the trunk braces I'm gonna get those too. Are they hard to get off? And what size bolts would those have?

Cool ty.

The GP brace is held in with somewhere between a 15 and 19mm bolt. They're two different sizes iirc, so it would probably be a good idea to take them all along.

Well I think I'll just take everything from 15mm-25mm just to be safe.

So they're all metric? Is I hadn't asked, I don't think I would have even brought metric lol.

don't forget a 10 and 13... just in case.... 😀

Take a 9/16 and 5/8 also. If you live in a rust-prone area, the sway bar bolts are a real pain. Years of corrosion may have altered the size of the fasteners. Make sure you have a fairly long ratchet / breaker bar and some 6 point sockets to either break them loose or break them off. 12 point sockets may slip on a rust-rounded fastener. And don't forget to get the spacers that tuck inside the control arm. They keep the arm from collapsing when you torque down the bolts.

Yeah a breaker bar is a good idea, and some WD-40 too lol. I'm not gonna need those sway bar spacer things (I have aftermarket boxed trailing arms), but I'm the type of person who likes to have the extra parts. So I'll still grabthem lol.

But I forgot that I have a wedding to go to today. So I'm not gonna be getting the parts until tomorrow.
