Wrench size question.

You didn't mention it but if you are pulling the front sway bar you will need an inverted torx socket (at least on F41). If it isn't rusty a 12 point socket will do in a pinch. Sorry, can't remember the size off hand. Wanna say 10mm-7/16-12mm range.

No, just the rear one.

Since when were torx heads used on suspension components (besides brakes)... I've NEVER seen anything besides a 6pt. head on sway bar bolts.

I pulled the sway bars and quick box off an F41 Butlass ('78 or '79) a couple weeks ago. The inverted torx were on the front sway bar-to-frame brackets. They had the factory GM blue thread goo on them. I assumed they were used because of the small diameter head necessary due to the large diameter of the bar/bushing. A regular bolt head wouldn't fit. I've seen the same thing on late '70s WS6 Trans Ams. I'll post a pic later.

Also, if it has the trunk braces I'm gonna get those too. Are they hard to get off? And what size bolts would those have?
theyre not bolted in, they are welded. youll need a drill to drill out the spot welds.

The two 'X' braces are welded in? My car already has the one that is welded in. I mean the ones that are made up of two seperate bars that cross each other. I know the GPs had them.

OK, so I got the rear sway bar and the GP brace today. But the sway bar bolts were to rusty, and I couldn't get the two front ones out (the car had no springs in the rear, so the suspension was all the way compressed). So I'm gonna need new bolts. What do you recommend? I have Edelbrock trailing arms (if that make any difference).

Also, for the GP brace (my buddy removed that for me) will the bolts that my jounce bars are bolted to be good enough. Or will I need something longer?

As for the cross brace bolts. I ended up using longer bolts and spacers on my set up. Some guys actually flatten or crush the ends. In this case longer bolts probably won't be necessary.
If you use longer bolts. Make sure they're grade 8 or the metric equivalent.
