I have to find my compression stroke for #1 so with the ford style solenoid and my remote start with a momentary switch set up makes it easy to bump the engine while my finger is in #1 spark plug hole. The momentary switch which I have used many times on the race cars and my car decided to fry so as I turned the engine over...the switch is rated well over the current needed....:wtf:

I use a weatherproof push button start switch to bump the engine over to adjust my valves, I have one on each side mounted to the inner fenders and hardwired in, they have been in service for about 16 years.
These are also wired to a Ford style solenoid.

that is a great idea, thanks and I'll be putting one in. I hope you don't mind me copping your idea and if needed I'll gladly pay royalties... 🙂

You are welcome to use my idea, having one on each side works great for me and I also like to show off at car shows by firing up my engine while standing next to it, I usually do that just prior to leaving.

That's cool! The more I see posts on here with regards to your MCSS, it's more and more like a Pandora's box!

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment and in case you didn't know my 83' Monte is not actually an SS.
