Since I bought the Summit x-pipe for my Regal I had someone ask me through Summit saying they installed it sideways and were wondering if it would hurt the flow.
I personally don't know how you could install it sideways and think it looked right but regardless does anyone think it will hurt the flow?

Even though it probably doesn't make a difference in flow I ask because this is not a true x-pipe design since it is basically two 90's that are butt welded together with the center cross section being smaller than the pipe ID, it's a smooth transition installed correctly but sideways you have to pass though a smaller oval shape with a sharp corner.

Since it appears to be wider sideways it’ll probably affect the fitment of pipes and mufflers. I don’t think it matters as far as the flow.
