I will have the testing prototype at the Oldsmobile Nationals Event in Cincinnati Ohio 7/30-8/1

Here are some pictures of the raw tested prototype being installed today.

I'd expect that if fitment and comparison of the OEM goes well there will be stock on hand in 90-120 days

End yes.. we designed it to be a full functioning with 18" in diameter in opening.

Looks good. My only critique would be to remove the center ridge down the center. I never thought that looked right on a G-body especially since there isn't anything matching it on the header panel.

I'll take it as is; I can't wait!
🙂

The center ridge we will look at when installed on the car with some fresh paint. Then on display at the Oldsmobile Nationals at the end of this month we can take opinions and take opinions on here as well. Maybe setup a poll. The majority will rule. Call it interactive designing for the gbodyforum!!

Sounds like a plan. Thanks for bringing this hood to life.

I know you been waiting a long time!!!

Toby, I'll have to agree with andrew on this one the center ridge needs to go. But other than that it looks good!!! I may have to grab one when the cutlass goes for paint next year 😀

Looks great! I agree also about center ridge, should be channel for stock trim

The center ridge would look of if you filled in the spot on the header panel where the trim was orignally sposed to go. Hood looks good though, ill be getting one for sure. Maybe make an emblem or something to bolt to the header panel when you buy the hood that compliments the ridge? Surely a flat centered scoop would look a little funny
