Looks nice. Would like to see some pics underneath too when you get the time. On that note, was this hood designed to work well with a specific air cleaner ( as far as getting it to seal to the hood )? It would be nice to have a 'factory' looking setup instead of just the same old open element air cleaner set up....
Noob question alert; I'm not up on aftermarket body parts so let me ask you, what kind of quality should one expect from a hood like this? Is it a simple bolt-on ? Is it something that requires 'tweaking' to fit and look right ( like all the BS one must deal with with fiberglass ) or does it just bolt right on and look just like an OEM hood ( assuming Olds actually made a cowl hood )?
What does something like this cost to ship? I'm in the same state you're in and it seems it would still cost an arm and a leg just to ship it.
Toby looks good I would prefer no line in center of the hood as well although the pics of it in your garage it looks better than in the previous pics. I could go either way.
Doubev. These are bolt right on with no issues. The makers of all cowl hoods made of steel that are currently distributed in the USA are made from a couple mfg. The quality is excellent. I'll get a picture of the underside when I bolt it on. And will also get a size of air cleaner
I like it, I like it a lot. I would like to see one w/o the ridge everyone dislikes to see a side-by-side comparison, and then put up a poll to see which one gets the most votes before going into production.
What's wrong with the ridge? It matches up to the body line on the trunk... I think the ridge makes this cowl hood stand out instead of it being like just any other cowl hood would look... I was never into cowl hoods but I kind of liked how this 1 copied the trunk body line and carries it up to the front of the car. I would consider buying it if I went with more than a 350 engine and was painting my car black... I think you should make available with the ridge or without and leave it to the order form so buyer can choose either way? The line going up mid cowl kind of reminds me of my late grandpa's xlr-v
