Re: November G-body of the month! (Monte Carlos)

Here's my 86 Monte SS. Has a rebuilt Goodwrench 350 4-bolt main block. Also has an Edelbrock carb w/polished intake, Vortec heads, mild Jegs street cam, Flowtech headers with true duals. transmission is a TH350 with a shift kit for crisper shifts.

Next year will be interior items and weatherstripping. Thinking about adding digital gauges.

Re: November G-body of the month! (Monte Carlos)

I'll throw my hat in this month, after all it's an all out Monte Month...I bought my '84 Monte four years ago as an E-Bay find from Virginia for $2100.00 It had a tired old 305 sbc with 200k on the clock with bench seats....When I bought it I planned on making it a street rod..It now has a 388 Stroker motor with a 700r4 transmission, 3200 PTC converter with a '69 Chevelle 12 bolt rear with 4.10 gears..Ran a best of 12.47 @109 mph a few months ago. I recently had it re-painted with the stock color and added a goodmark 2" cowl hood and also a SS spoiler on the rear....Here's a link to the paint job: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=27233
