Pick this car up for 900$ with a worked 400 sbc and that was about it to the whole car. The trans was taken out the night i bought it and everything stripped. The kid was just trying to get rid of the motor so he threw it in the car. The 400 was running 12.8's in a stock full interior 79 malibu. Which is about the same weight as a monte.

Will be running a 400 sbc with cam work and a 770 holly double pumper, th350 worked with a manual valve body and transgo shift kit stall speed still unknown, ford 9in with 4.11s posi, 26x10xr15 m/t's.

Ripped out most of the interior and realized we had a rust bucket, going to be cutting out the floor mostly and channeling it and creating my own.

Ripped out 90% of the wiring, gonna rewire the whole car with the basics for racing. Gotta figure out how to get the wiring out of the kick panels on both sides thats all thats left.

Mocked up the gauges, gotta trim a little around the edges of the plastic behind the dash plate

Next step is to transfer from the posterboard to metal and fabricate. That should be the easiest part of the build, then riveting it to the dash. If you look at the last image, where the check engine light and warning panel usually is im going to setup the shift light behind it and custom make a tinted panel that has shift written into it which can really only be seen when the shift light lights up, thought it was just something stupid and easy that would be pretty cool.

Went through about 5 Hole saws trying to cut the stainless.. **** that sh*t, i ended up calling my uncle after 5 hours of no good on trying to cut circles. He owns a plasma cutter, which is now my new favorite tool which i need to invest in.
