Yesterday I got the fuse panel ran and a junction box. Drilled some grommet holes n hooked up tach n temp gauge.
Well that was the pros... The cons I realized my starter was good after I thought it was bad and after installing it again I broke the studs off the small post and cracked the solenoid. So got a new starter. after starter wouldn't turn block I went to check it with a breaker bar n the threads on the main bolt on the harmonic balancer were stripped. So my progress went backwards joy.

turn over by the flywheel and with a screwdriver on the ring gear unless you have a tool to turn the flywheel by the ring gear. If it does want to budge fill the sparkplug holes with wd40 and let it soak, the rings might be frozen..

Oh I just did the pry bar trick I was just saying that for the fact that the crank bolt was bad. Without the spacer u can thread it farther and it holds. Just need a longer bolt.

i did that b4 just get a longer bolt to get to the good treads at the bottom. you should not have a problem with that.

You can use a helicoil kit for the front crank bolt, I saw a repair kit for this once, along time ago..cut the new threads in the crank and replacement bolt. Check with a machine shop..

Picked up a slightly longer bolt and it works, also got the defrost switch to work good had problems at first then I incorporated a relay and it works perfect. If anyone wants the schematic just lemme know ill post it. And while tuning the motor and was about to turn it off, i was pouring a bit of trans fluid in it so next start up is easy and the carbon doesnt sit on the cylinder, i cracked the throttle and the belt cracked me under my arm... not pleasant. Will post pictures of everything later.

the defrost switch is a rocker switch meaning when you push the top button the center prong runs current to the bottom prong, and like wise when the bottom button is pushed.

The left side of the picture is the breakdown of how a relay works and how it attaches to the car and switch, and the right picture is how the relay looks and how its wired to the distributor, switch, battery, and starter

Ill post a video of it working soon

Ended up finding another fully built Ford 9" on Craigslist 28spline hardend axles full spool 4.88 gears and the gbody housing all assembled with brand new brakes and wheel spacers to 4.75. Only issue is I got it mounted and went to test fit my slicks and realized mine was based off a 5x5.5 lug pattern this one is 4.5 or 4.75 with spacers. I'm gonna be running 10.5 wde slicks and hoping that with just the 4.5 n no spacers I won't rub frame or stick out too far. And also realized the rear frame rails are factory boxed. Should I weld a cross brace between them near the bumper?

It wasnt a bad swap just messy because we pulled the axles and there was still fluid in the diff we tried to keep it level which worked most of the time. I'm going to be boxing the control arms now for strength. Any other strength ideas to do for the frame yall have done? Also the frame was stamped hk on a plastic tag tapped into the frame anyone know the meaning ?
