Thought I would start a thread for my El Camino, so here it is, will be updating and uploading pics within the next few days...

1984 Chevy El Camino...
right now it has a 350/350 trans (which be changed shortly...lol)
interior has a mix of modifications and stock parts (digital guages, 10.5 screen, ss seats and console) some body work done including shaved handles... had the interior almost finished and didnt like it, so making changes... then gotta pull the whole thing out and paint it... gonna be something different but clean (as far as paint).

Re: 1984 Chevy El Camino

It was pretty much burgundy, with no interior at all in it, when i got it, i painted it green for fun, cause wanted to see if i liked the color, then wished i would have actually spend a little more time, on paint and body, cause it came out good, anyhow, going a different route, i fitted some wheels on it for now, too, car actually sits lower than pictured, but i posting this pic, to show kinda where i started (not where it is at now, or where its going to be), this was the oldest picture of it i could find...

this is where it was after my first attempt at something decently clean (interior wise)... changing it up again, and fixing the stuff i hated about it...

Just so people know, I AM NOT A SHOP (as other members will testify to), since people on these forums ask me at times, I am a hard working person, with a family and a career, It takes hard work to do this stuff yourself, as many of us know... I have help from good friends and a good working skill doing this stuff, or else I would not be able to afford half of what i can do (I tried my hand at a paint shop, but it didnt work out well for me, cause im not quitting my actual career, good trustworthy people are hard to find to help with that kind of stuff, lost alot of money with it and am moving on...lol) enough of my rant... back to the car...lol

ripped most of the interior out, ELCO Warren (aka ELCOCD Warren- named by Mel, aka Big Bro) hooked me up with a complete console and ash tray, tilt steering, glove box, dash trim plate and a can of SEM black spray for it, cant beat having friends like that... been spraying everything, and getting ready to pull the motor...

took that dash bezel El Co Warren gave me which was in great shape, scuffed it up with scotch brite, taped it to try and keep the middle part that was already black, and the silver stripe

Warren also made me a template, so I could save 100 bucks buying the ac delete plate, i cut it from 16g steel, which was a pain, but it came out cool... gonna do a little something special with it and get that in
