Okay, this is my first build thread so bare with me here..and I'll warn you I'm A.D.D so i tend to get off topic.I will try my best..

My car started life as a v6, I got it in a trade for my old yamaha blaster( little 200cc quad).. but the car did have a nasty rod knock.. So I towed it to my house and started to take it apart and put in a 305 with a 700r4..it took my about two weekends to do it myself(i was 18 and it was my first swap). that transmission lasted about 6 months then 3rd started to slip, so i pick up another 700r4 and that one lasted about 2weeks(cooler line got clogged in wonderful miami traffic and that one went to sh*t..since then it's been parked at my grandmas house and i've been collecting the parts i need for the swap..I took the motor out of my truck(355 with about 430hp) and started the swap the way I should've done it the first time..Here are some pics..
Okay, this was my daily till i took the motor out for the cutlass i havent even put 1000miles on the motor since it was built..

Re: build thread for my manual cutlass ...(lost of pics)

well im way ahead of the pics those are just the most recent ones i have right now..all i need right now is the camaro shorties, which i am picking up tomorrow morning and the aluminum radiator...
also the funny thing about the shifter in that when i had first built it that was the most expensive thing i had in the car lol and down here in miami all the " fresh off the boat" cubans would see the shifter and think it was a full blown race car lol( dont think im racist because of the way i explained the cubans, i am cuban myself but i was born here, thats just the way we call em down here)...also im uploading more pics as you read ill try to post them tonight..

You need one of these for your clutch master cylinder:

looking good man. the bottoms of my doors looked like that too. i just sand blasted the rusty spots on the car and put a little fiberglass filler on them and sanded it flat. no ones going to look at that part of the car so it doesnt have to be pretty.

looks like its coming along nicely!! Keep us posted i have always been interested in putting a 4 or 5 speed in my cutlass how much of a pain is it i run a olds but should be pretty much same install besides bellhousing i was looking at buying a brand new th400 but would rather put a 5 speed in her around how much did you spend on the install if you dont mind me asking?
