    bad u joint or belt seperation?

    Not too sure on how to check a u joint for play honestly. But the guy that balanced them said the back tires moved up and down as they were spun while the rim stayed in one spot

    63 impala with a t5 question

    We have a frame off restored 63 ss impala. It now has the original 327 built like crazy with a t5 and 3.73's. Sometimes if you slowly get on it in first you can watch the shifter move about three inches to the right and it starts to make a grinding sound until you back off. Any ideas?

    sbc head swap

    I'd like to figure out how to stop the wheel hop. But im also running a 7.5" rear so im not sure on what tires I can and cant run. Im only launching off the foot brake so I think I might be able to use some mild street radial tires.. currently researching on how to stop the wheel hop on the car..

    Not sure.. it was running 13.9's and my dad told me to try those shift points and it ran two 13.7's right in a row. I was shifting at 5500 every time before that. I keep hitting 99. I would love to break the 100 mark. Also, I get wheel hop probably the first 40ft of the track.

    Profiler wants 1100 for 195 heads fully assembled with 64cc chambers.. not bad. Performer rpm is what you guys would reccomend for an intake? I have about a month and a half to think it over. I want more power but heads seem to be the easiest way to make hp and tq.
