I have decided to list an extra GN rear end for sale. I do this reluctantly, as the rear end is in Oklahoma City. Its not something I want to ship. I shipped a 12 bolt rear end a few years ago and it was ugly
The rear end is out of a GN as stated. I will get the axle tube code with picture. I acquired the rear end, with out gears or center section. The unit will have the housing, with a rebuildable posi section, stock axles, front pinion yoke and cover and its bolts. The wheel bearings and seals are removed, also the pinion bearing and seal are gone. The bearing races are still in the housing.
I am furnishing the, rebuildable posi section out of my 1986 GN. I have since put in an Eaton posi section.
I have taken the drum brake back plates off, something I wish I had not done. I was thinking of rear disc brake upgrade but never got to it. There is a large nut and bolt that holds the back plate on, it was a real issue getting them off.
I will include a decent set of aluminum rear drums
$1500 for the items listed. No shipping, but will be open to meeting someone half way on a distance we can work out.
I can get pics of housing, axles, posi, and drums, if someone is interested.

Posting a few picks of the housing, this evening. Letting you know it does exist. I'm to old to be a scammer.

Oh man I live too close to Oklahoma for this, why must you tempt me right after I got a new credit card?

I'm only 2 hours away.

I bought one from Dallas a year ago, the Hot Rod hauler guy picked it up and brought it to me 200 miles away for what it would have cost me in gas, food, and time. that would be an option for someone a bit further away.

Good morning, sir. I don't know if you saw the PM that I sent last night but I'm interested in discussing things and seeing if we can work something out. I've got an El Camino that's getting some other GN treatment and this would tie in nicely with the overall theme.

Sir, I'm not sure what happened to the messages I sent but I've received yours and will commence communicating via email so there's no confusion. I'll have to do that in a couple hours though, as I have some obligations this morning. Thank you very much for alerting me to the problem.

Consider the core support you mentioned sold though- I can definitely make that happen, and soon. I'm still trying to find a way to buy the differential as well as groceries.
