Hey guys, the snow is melting here in Minnesota, and I brought the 78 Monte project out of winter storage. Last fall I posted a few questions on rim selection and such. I've narrowed my rim choice down to the Boyd Coddington Sultans in 15x6" fronts and 15x8" rears. What should I be looking at for backspace on the mentioned rims? I will go for a bit wider look in the rear, but I'm not going for the biggest set of tires that fit.

Anyone interested, here is the video I posted late season of my project.

Thanks for the help, Mark

in general you want about 4.5inBS on a wide rim. you can use less with the 6in wide rim.

I agree 100% with Megaladon6. I am using 15x 7 Eagle Alloy Wheels all the way around and I have a 4" backspace. I'm using 255 x 60 x 15 BF Goodrich tires on back and the smallest BFG's I could get for a 15 x 7 wheel on front.
