That's an awesome find! Keep us posted on progress. Don't know what type of "pro-touring" look you're going for, but if you want to make it more like a GN or T-type wagon, GTA wheels would be a cheap and easy upgrade...just my .02. Good luck with project!

I've got black plasti dipped GTA wheels on my wagon and I love them. Gives it a mean look.

I have always liked the GTA wheels (I had a 88 GTA back in the day) so that definitely could be an option...

Basically the look I don't want is the big and littles "drag car" look like the car has now. I was kinda thinkin some Torque Thrust Ds could be an option... I just want to run similar size tires/wheels front and rear. I am going to be driving the car everyday and I want it to handle better than my other street/strip G's I have had in the past...

Dude that's Sofa King rare!!!!

Will you be able to get the filler pieces for the front end?

Yeah the Regal Wagons are of a rare beast! LOL I am sure I will be able to come up with something. Will either find the fillers or tuck the bumpers up closer.

Re: Newly acquired 83 Buick Regal Wagon...Update 10/26/13

Got a few small projects done on the car and finally was able to drive it around a bit. I am loving it. I still want to change out the wheels to something more of the style I am wanting to roll with on this one. I am thinking maybe some GTA wheels or something... Anybody have some they want to do some trading on?

I did knock out some of my short list.

New PS pump. Old one was leaking badly.
New inside door handle on driver side. PO broke it somehow.
Good cleaning and checkover of the whole car.

Here are some new pics!

Let me know what you think!

I still want to lower the rear and make it level. Change out the wheels to something more of the handling type of look instead of the big and littles.

Still need to replace the door/window rubbers to fix a few leaks that I have noticed.

thanks
CHRIS

I agree with you wanting to lower the car back down to a more stock height-I think it would look alot better. Since its a Buick, I'd shop around for a set of Buick type rally wheels, to keep the Buick theme going with the car. Maybe a set of the chrome 15" X 7" GN rims, or possibly a set of the earlier chrome 15" X 7" Buick chrome rallys, with maybe a 245/60 rear tire and 235/60 front tire. I think that would look good on the car. As for window rubbers, check on this forum under the IROC wagon project. There's been alot of info there about the window rubbers. Keep us updated, thanks.
