th350 tc in a th400 will it work ?

ok im worndering if a th350 tc will work in a th400 2 of the 3 bouts fell out in striped the holes i dont have the money to get a new th400 tc right now but i got a few th350 tcs laying around.

I've always heard that they're the same.

i kno the stall speed will be dif but would it make a dif on how the trans works.and im not sure if a 350 tc will go on the th400 splin right.

I seen these tc's listed and they said, 350/400...so they must be the same.

stall could be different, but it seems it should physically fit.

Simple answer is yes it will work. Input splines are the same only difference would be stall other then that will not change how trans works.

also is there 2 dif kinds of th400? i was told theres ones for cars and ones for big trucks big like school bus big and was told the yoke size is dif. mine came form a big fruit truck so if there is 2 dif kninds of th400 will that make a dif on the splie.i kno my th400 tc sitting next to a th350 tc the th400 tc was a little bit bigger and heavyer then all the th350 tcs i have

Mine came from a truck also. It has the stock deep oil pan on it also. I think it was from 68 or 69? I used a yoke from a TH400 pulled from another truck with a straight 6.

ok if ur running a tc400 maybe u could help me with somthing els that just poped in my head on the side of the trans theres a spot for a wire my trans works fine with out it just wournding what it is?

isint the vac line on the pass side of a th400 the kick down i havent had a wire hooked to it all all and my trans kicks down when i put it in gear
