Hey everyone I'm working on my 5.3 swap into a 81 Regal. I have almost everything sorted out except the oil pan I know the Holley pan will work....

Do have any other options like can any one confirm if the muscle car pan or ctsv pan works with Hooker mounts.

One more thing does anyone know who does pcm reflash in the DFW area?

Thanks in advance

Don't know about ctsv pan, but the muscle car pan will hit, you would have to notch the frame. I least that what I had to do on 5 gen el camino with a ls3.

Also, the CTSV pan hangs too low....Just buy the Holley 300-2 pan. It isn't that expensive and it fits like a glove. I have the entire Holley LS Swap package on my car and do not have enough good things to say about it. There is nothing like bolting on swap parts that have been engineered correctly and fit right the first time without fabrication

Anubis, did you buy all of the Holley/Hooker swap parts for your car at once? Did you get them all from the same source? Just being curious.

I started collecting parts a year before the swap and bought all the parts in 3 different purchases so as not to upset the wife too much. Holley had a few sales on items which helped. I seem to remember some Christmas sales. I also bought some stuff from Summit but found that pricing is governed by Holley and is unilateral so don't waste too much time trying to find that one company selling for less. Its a good system and in my opinion well worth the money.

Depends on where in the DFW area you live. There are lots of places I can think of. You'd probably want one close.

i ordered my holley/hooker ls swap items today, all on sale. I've read a few articles here and on ls1 tech message board. looks like a one stop shop for this upgrade. I'm aiming for a spring install. 5.3l, 6spd, 3.42 or 3.73 rear. i chose the 2.5in exhaust option because of the stock 5.3l i plan on running.

Sweet! You won't regret it. I really like the exhaust system fit and look. It's stainless and the band clamps are definitely the way to go for an easy install. I went with the 3" exiting behind the rear wheels for a factory look. Coming from an Olds 403 with Flowmasters I am ready for something quieter though. The Holley / Hooker mufflers that come with the kit are a bit too loud for my taste. This Winter I plan to swap them out for something quiet and then I'll add electric cut outs. The 6.2 sounds very healthy!
