I have 2 5/8" on top and 2 1/16" on the bottom. It's a temporary fit which I am working on this winter. It'll be basically the same but a better fit.

Any pictures? I'd like to see how that looks as I'll eventually be looking to fit a tach in my 86 GP

I used 5" gauges in the center, where the speedo and clock were originally, and 2-1/16" gauges in all other locations. Although I have modified my dash, these sizes fit well in the original dash holes.

I used Speed Hut's 4" speedo and tach, and 2-1/16" gauges everywhere else.

That's a really nice dash kiko

Thanks "Happy Camper"! I used parts of the "skeleton" of my original dash and made the rest using ABS and carbon fiber. The "holes" where the original gauges were inserted are quite peculiar -- they are molded in an "oval-ish" form and narrow somewhat towards the back. GM did a nice job with the GP dash. It would be quite hard replicate these gauge "holes" at home, so I re-used what I could in my design and tried to make the dash and console look as stock (i.e., factory made) as possible.

Kiko,
Did you use carbon fiber in sheet form, or is it the 3M adhesive applied product?
I have a GP dash in my car currently and always like the way carbon fiber looks.
Yours looks great...the gauge layout is nice and well executed.

I have to say that is probably one of the nicest dash layouts I have seen while still retaining a factory look.

Thanks "Longroof79" and "565bbchevy". It's made from real carbon fiber with gel-coat over top. It was custom made for me by an outfit in FL. I provided a CAD template drawing and they created the insert. The insert is bonded to an ABS template which I had manufactured locally.

Thank you sir,
I may have asked you that question another time before. Your reply sounds vaguely familiar.
I appreciate it just the same.
