Steve,
You're always very thoughtful (and mindful) of potential dangerous weather conditions in various regions of our countries.
It is blistering out west. I don't recall ever seeing temps that high out there. Even northern California is unusually hot. I rarely see it go over 90 degrees up there and the Pacific northwest.

It literally has been hot as hell here in AZ. I am an hour from Tucson so my temps are a bit cooler at 108 instead of 115! There are some wildfires in our county and the air is smokey and some poor folks lost their homes in Sonoita AZ from what seems like constant fires. It is a unique area which resembles a grassland and as you can guess with everything so dry it burns with reckless abandon.

Some thunder storms are over my area today but our Monsoon storms are weeks away and my area needs a break from the heat.

104 here today! I don't think it's too bad, there's a slight breeze to cool off the sweat haha Big bear mountain is on fire, 1,200 acres burned so far. Last year was pretty bad, but since it rained so much at the beginning of the year with all the vegetation growth but it has dried up and well you know the rest..
The Sand Fire in Santa Clarita where I work burned 41,432 acres last year, I'm sure there's going to be another big one. It sucks because the roads to palmdale are all in the mountains so traffic can get scary when there's a fire.

Hey Guys,
Those in Florida and Louisiana are in good hands as I am one of a couple of Cat team claims managers for an insurance company. We are ready and my life is over for awhile as we are focused on helping our insureds. If you are affected by the storm, take lots of pics, protect your property from further damage and be WAY careful of what you sign as there are a lot of smooth talking predators out there. Review your policy and if you have questions call your agent or your insurance company. Deductibles, policies and coverages vary. You may get what you pay for. I hope you all weather the storm.

We do controlled burns in our area. It is best for wildfire control and wildlife. I burn my property and the re-growth is truly a resurrection.
The problem is funding and public perception in your and many areas

Thanks Jack, weather concerns me because no matter who you are it can destroy everything you have. Most events in life have something good come out of it but with weather when it's bad there is no good that comes out of it and you have no control over it.
