Yes something actually happened! Not much but something. My brother bought an 87 442 parts car and I went to his house this afternoon and pulled the quarter glass rear window molding and trunk filler for my car. It's not much but it is something

So anyway even though I'm not currently working on the car I'm not giving up on it .

I haven't forgotten about my car guys in fact I picked up a used 3 row Tig welded aluminum radiator for it today. I'm hoping to bring this one out to my buddy's farm where the parts car is this summer and get it going again

In all the chaos of my life lately I went out to my engine builder's place to work on the 454 for the square body crew. We didn't do anything constructive but we did a lot of talking. One of the conversations we had was about G-body rears and what's available. All in trying to keep the subject off my daughter. He asked me if I was apposed to using something other than GM. Well of course not but a 9" is big money for me.he replied no what about something like that and pointed a a rack with rears on it by the side door. That's when I noticed what I'd been walking by every time I was there

And that my friends is a Chrysler a-body
8 and 3/4 GM G-body rear! Obviously not complete and narrower than a g-body but dam that's a good idea in my opinion. So that might just happen

In thinking about it.. I don't know why we all don't do that? There's a huge aftermarket for a Mopar 8 3/4 when I was looking at it it was like I was having a revelation lol and my neighbor has a 8 3/4 3:23 posi complete center in his garage he's not using. This may actually happen.

I know some of you read all my threads so you already know all the running I do whenever I'm off work. I apologise for not snapping a picture because I'm in a hurry as usual but I jumped in the dirty Jersey bourbon this morning and made the trek to Oldbridge. The point was to get this baby ready to go to Jackson! So I filled all 4 rollers and made shore the drums were free sitting hasn't been good for it but it's still nice enough for me to want to geterdun! We put a tow strap on the front swaybar and pulled it to higher ground where I'll be able to get a trailer in front of it. Now to make room for it in the building I've got to go concur my arch-nemesis, aluminum Porsche!

Monday after work I took a ride in the dirty bourbon down to Beachwood and bought a XJ steering shaft for it in preparation for the soon to be empty bay the steering box was already gone from it. On a whim I asked my boss if he has any junk blazers in his towing yards and he said he thinks he has an 01 2wd Blazer. I'm hoping to take a ride there with him this week to check it out. The shop has been real busy so there may not be time
