I hate New England

all this makes me glad that I'm a Lions fan.... expect little, no disappointment.....

I HOPE THE NFL GOES BROKE! THE SOONER THE BETTER!

Honestly I think it might be the best thing for them. Things will never change if they are still making money. I've tried to stop watching, but I just really like the game. I've tried watching college football and it just isn't as enjoyable for me. I will say I don't watch as much as I used to. I used to watch as many games as I could including MNF and TNF, now I only watch the AFC north games and any big rivalry games. I tried watching Nascar instead for a while and couldn't do it, it's just not popular enough around here.

This will be interesting to see what gets exposed....

"Two New Orleans Saints season-ticket holders filed a lawsuit against the NFL on Tuesday, asking a Louisiana state court judge to order Commissioner Roger Goodell to invoke an obscure rule that could force the final moments of Sunday's NFC Championship game to be replayed."

Just curious, why Lions? Panthers are a decent team.
was born in Detroit, and spent my teen years about 15 minutes from the Silverdome... tech school after the military brought me to the south, and previous job brought me to NC

I always find it interesting how people end up rooting for the teams that they do. I have family all over, Florida, New York, Allentown, Connecticut; some stayed loyal to Pittsburgh teams, others switched allegiance.

I find myself cheering for the Lions and the Browns a little bit. I know how it is to have a turd of a team. Unless their playing the Rams, that is. The Rams have sucked so long their cheeks are permanently caved in, but every once in a while they do win a big game or two.

I swore off NFL last year for more than one reason (wasn't even aware the Rams even made it to the playoffs last year until someone told me), but didn't watch until about week 2 or 3 this year. It doesn't crush my spirit if the Rams lose, since I'm kinda numb from them losing most of the time anyway. I never watch the first couple of minutes of any game though, just in case they play the anthem and I happen to see some dumbass taking a knee. That might send me back into not watching again.

Baseball is where it's at for me. St. Louis Cardinals for the win. Most successful franchise in the National League. And second only to the big $$ Yankees.

As far as this BS about trying to replay the last few minutes of that NFC game, the Saints had the ball first in OT. They could have scored a touchdown then, and it would have been over as well. They had chances after the muffed call. They just couldn't reel it in. If they'd have put away the Rams earlier in the game, that call may not have mattered. They let them crawl right back into that game once they figured out how to maneuver through the crowd noise. I really think it had to do with the officiating crew and the NFL not wanting to decide games via penalty with this BS of "let them play" mantra. Well WHAT the hell do you decide games with? If players "foul" and get called on it consistently, they'll either quit fouling or they'll likely lose the game because they'll be penalized for 400 yards. That call wasn't even close. And I'm a Rams fan. Integrity of the game is more important than who wins or not. If that was the last play of the game, you still call it if it's obvious. Penalties and time left on the clock shouldn't be considered together. Heck, if he'd have turned around, he was in a better position to pick the ball off than the receiver was to catch it. The bang bang plays can go either way, but that one was out of control. But a blown call or non-call like that shouldn't result in the game being replayed, IMO.

I'm waiting for the Lions vs Browns in an upcoming SuperBowl...maybe in my lifetime...I hope. Probably would be the most watched SB on the planet if that ever happened.

businesses in New Orleans are showing their dislike of the call..

and a restaurant will be holding a funeral with a referee present....

“This Sunday, starting at 4:30 p.m., we will host a funeral for the saints, victims of a grossly negligent homicide by the NFL and their officials,” English wrote. “We will gather on the covered patio at [The Second Line]. There will be drink specials and we will have a referee on hand that we will all have an opportunity to read impact statements to so they can understand how their actions have negatively affected us.”
