I will explain what these books are and the information that was given to me when they came into my possession.
A good friend of mine his next door neighbor wanted to clean out his garage and asked him if he knew anyone that would be interested in GM books, his answer was yes and I got the call.
I met this person a Gentleman and told me he worked for GM for over 35 years at a GM zone office for New England.
We walked into his garage and I couldn't believe what I was seeing, all three walls filled with GM parts and illustration books dating back to the mid 60's and other books and binders.
Started looking and came across a few binders that had NPN and the year. I asked him what are these books, he explained starting in 1978 GM engineers would put a binder together for updated part numbers, changes made to a car, new options or delete options, new model and so on so on for each year and sent to each zone office. Ask him what years he had and he said 1978-1987 but he couldn't remember what shelf they were on so I went digging, I have a picture of one of the shelfs. He did say you won't find these books at a dealer the engineers only sent them to the zone office. Makes sense I never seen a book like that when I working at the dealer back then.

Each year book has a illustration section and those are the pictures I posted. They do look like an assembly manual pictures. It would be nice if i find assembly manuals for our gbody cars in his garage and he did tell me he cant remember what else he has, he is in his mid 80's. There's a lot of information in those NPN books and it covers other models besides gbodys.
I even found a NPN seminar manual dated 1985.
Sorry about last picture

You would hit super mega cool status if you end up finding just a few assembly manuals in that collection. Still always wonder why they only go to the early 70's with A body manuals & late '70's for F body manuals for repops.

Is there any Buick or Regal drawings in those books? If there is I would literally trade you my first born child for them.

It would be nice to find a few sets of assembly manuals in that stash he has you never know. I was lucky to find those NPN books with a wealth of information in them. More I look at those illustration I am very sure they are assembly procedures but what I see missing on them are torque values for hardware the zone office wouldn't need them any ways.
Why hasn't GM released the gbodys assembly manuals yet I don't know, time will tell.
A few more and this came out of 1978 book, enjoy.

Yes and what year. I will start a thread for the Buicks and the other gbodys. I don't mind sharing information that I have in these books.

That would be awesome! I have an '87 Regal so I would be looking for anything pertaining to those year (or similar years) Regals.
