Congratulations! What do you think of it so far?

So far it’s been fun to drive although I think the power steering pump is getting weak as it’s pretty heavy. I will like it much better once I get this exhaust leak and oil leak from the valve cover fixed. It sounds like my ford tractor with this exhaust leak and that’s no good

Got the courtesy lights and all that working the cigarette lighter was grounding out blowing the fuse. Also added a removable mod because everyone should carry a fire extinguisher within easy reach

The moment I believe quite a few people have waited for, it lives it has a oil leak and a exhaust leak but it made it on a 20 minute round trip this evening all seems to be ok

If the weather is nice this Thursday I may try and take it up there. I’ve got to go to dmv and get a tag for it but I’ve insured it so it’s all good

Valve cover gaskets I ordered a set of the blue rubber felpro gaskets. I got cork in the engine gasket kit but should’ve known better. I never had a issue with that style felpro on my 86 GN

never had cork leak. are the valve cover rails flat?
Either way, blue rubbers should seal fine.

Yeah they’re flat and i used all the correct factory hardware with them and I didn’t overtighten them but it’s both of them leaking although the passenger side is worse than the drivers.
