Just replaced some fuses and relays for the turn signals and rear lamps due to my brake light not working. Come to find out I had a severed wire coming out of the pig tail from the column. Fixed that and brake/ turn signal lights work. However, when I engage the left turn signal the right turn signal is faintly on as well. Anybody deal with this. Right off the bat I’m thinking turn/hazard assembly in the column. Just needing a second opinion I suppose

I would clean up all the grounds for the lights first. A bad ground can play games with the lights

Ok. Just noticed that when I turn my headlights on my left turn signal does not blink like it should. It remains constant. My center gauge cluster actually blinks like the rear blinker should. That’s strange. I recall changing the headlight switch out of this thing because the bracket was broken. Can’t recall it doing it before that

X2 on what pontiacgp said. My F150 had strange light\blinker issues. Put the blinkers on the radio would blink with it, hit the brakes the radio would lower. Turned out 2 corroded grounds. Fixed them everything good.

Figured it right out. These cars have bulbs with two terminals. Must’ve accidentally thrown a single terminal bulb in it after I painted it. Changed it out and fixed the whole issue.

glad it is fixed but I would still make sure the grounds have a good contact....

Be careful with the tail light grounds. As said above they are in the trunk and are part of a harness that is found near the taillight housing on the left or driver's side. Issue here is that the wires in that harness could partially be aluminum. G's were fitted with aluminum wiring in certain sub harnesses to reduce the use of copper which was needed for making brass for rifle and pistol ammunition destined for the military. Aluminum corrodes just as badly as copper-corrosion looks like white dust. if you are too energetic when you work with it, you can easily break the wire. Aluminum cannot be soldered the same way as copper. The process is similar but different. The other concern is that the sockets to the tail light housing do come wired in copper, it is at the plug in connection where the change occurs.
