103,400 maybe. The undercarriage photos give it away, looks like somebody went to town with a 6-pack of rustoleum. the rusty shadows.... even the brake lines are painted black. otherwise clean and "shows" 3,400 might be true but...

EDIT: is that rad support painted body color or is just me?

It is the Rusty Jones special!

And yes, that core support looks body coloured. Maybe there is an RPO for it. ;)

To be fair it is very complete... but, no one here has BaT money. Maybe someone with Radwood hard-on from Sillycon Valley will buy it ironically?

Its not a 3400 mile car, the odometer numbers are not even.

I can attest to the RJS and the nasty sh*t they get everywhere under the undercarriage. My 87 442 had it done in Ohio right after the car was purchased new by the original owner. What's worse, my 85 got a similar rust proofing thing done AUTOMATICALLY when it got to the dealership. I didn't pay for it because they wanted to add it on and I told them I never authorized that stuff. Scrape it off for all I care. So they just tossed it in for free. Only good thing I can say about it is MAYBE the gas tank will look new when I can get that self-healing crap off of there. We'll see.

But it was good that the owner had to keep taking it back every year to get it "inspected" and each time they logged the mileage on the inspection sheets, which I got with the car. So I've got a good handle on the first several years of its life on the documentation of miles. I think one year the car went 30 miles.

As for the Elky....OMG! NO CASSETTE!!!! Deal breaker right there. :)

Looks nice. And if you wanted a model car El Camino, this is it. Sit it up and stare at it. Or go in and mod the f**k out of it. I got a feeling it's not going to sell for the price people think it's going to. Could be wrong, but I'll bet it's MAYBE a 20 breaker, but not by much. Depends on how much emotional attachment someone has for a run of the mill el camino.

Wait, what? It looks like only a 3380.3 mile car in the pics.

GM odometers don't always line up perfectly from number to number. They tend to get straighter over time, but I doubt if you can use slight misalignment to say it's not accurate.

Everything else on the car seems to check out it doesn't have many miles on it.

I do have one question for the elky experts out there. Is it me, or those light blue stripes going over the wheel wells....why is the paint break line visible next to the wheel opening and the pinstripes are rounded and basically...sorry to say, look like dog sh*t the way they do a soft bend leaving that paint break line exposed like that. Not a fan.

whether it's 3k or 103k miles, it's still a good looking elky... a little too rich for my blood, but a nice example nonetheless....

bottles my mind, why anyone would keep that as a museum piece, and not drive it...
