It is the Rusty Jones special!
I can attest to the RJS and the nasty sh*t they get everywhere under the undercarriage. My 87 442 had it done in Ohio right after the car was purchased new by the original owner. What's worse, my 85 got a similar rust proofing thing done AUTOMATICALLY when it got to the dealership. I didn't pay for it because they wanted to add it on and I told them I never authorized that stuff. Scrape it off for all I care. So they just tossed it in for free. Only good thing I can say about it is MAYBE the gas tank will look new when I can get that self-healing crap off of there. We'll see.
But it was good that the owner had to keep taking it back every year to get it "inspected" and each time they logged the mileage on the inspection sheets, which I got with the car. So I've got a good handle on the first several years of its life on the documentation of miles. I think one year the car went 30 miles.
As for the Elky....OMG! NO CASSETTE!!!! Deal breaker right there.
Looks nice. And if you wanted a model car El Camino, this is it. Sit it up and stare at it. Or go in and mod the f**k out of it. I got a feeling it's not going to sell for the price people think it's going to. Could be wrong, but I'll bet it's MAYBE a 20 breaker, but not by much. Depends on how much emotional attachment someone has for a run of the mill el camino.
