Hello I am interested in putting a set of 15x7 rally wheels on my 85 Monte and am unsure about what backspacing to get. With that being said, I am planning on putting some stock looking tires on it. The only 15x7 rally wheels I can find online have 4.25 inches of backspacing. Will that look and function correctly?

A 15 x 7 with 4.25" of backspace will look slightly "tucked in" compared to the same rim in a 15 x 8 with 4.25" of backspace but they will work.
Typically you want around 3.75" backspace with a 7" wheel so it is centered.
You could go 15 x 8 all around, not sure if that is an option for you but if you later want wider tires especially in the rear, the rims can handle it.
Here is an old picture of my Monte with 15 x 8 ARE wheels and 245/60 and 275/60 tires.

If you are buying new 15 x 8's with a 4.00 would work best. Below is my 88 SS with the factory 15 x 8's, 4.00 back space and a 245-60r-15 on all 4 corners.

I have always found zero offset to work best on gbodys for an 8" rim.
"0" Offset would actually be 4.5" backspace, as the outside to outside width is 9" or very close. The 8" is between the bead flanges, which typically add about 1/2" per side to overall width.

Agreed, that is why I said it I run a 0 offset that is 4.50 BS and it fits well.

Probably shouldn't have quoted yours, was trying to make sure OP understands that half the wheel marketing width is not 0 offset.

I run 15x7 on the front 15x8 on the rear the front are 4.25 and the rear are stock vette wheels that I don’t know the spacing. I feel like the front are a little too tucked on my car. When I put the blazer brakes on hopefully it will space them out a little.
