Don't use a baffled tank with that. Use your stock carburetor style tank.

Oh and stock tanks are 18.1 gallon IIRC

Drain and flush the tank and cut the baffle out of the way.

Thanks guys.

1985 El Camino.

Streetbu & 64nailhead, the tank is a new repro of the optional 22 gallon tank. And I want an in-tank pump to avoid a loud in-line pump.

So I guess I might have to go with the stock 18 gallon tank with in-tank pump for stock FI application. I will do a search for this but if y'all know a good source let me know.

I used that 12-306 pump setup in my cutlass and works flawlessly. Holds 58-60PSI all the time. I'm using an unbaffled Spectra tank.

The sending unit that you posted is meant for a coupe or sedan tank, the El Camino tank uses a different sending unit. Here is a picture of an El Camino EFI sending unit.
