Amazing what you'll find when you go back and see what your younger self thought would be useful. I stumble upon stuff i had long forgotten about occasionally, unfortunately mine is normally after I've already bought a replacement... :blam:
I know......I claim I can't find it, so I'll buy another...

Not to stray too far off the current work but I don't remember if you documented the seat belt mounts on rear wall. If you did just say yes and I'll dig for it. I have been trying to decide on something similar or making a harness bar.
Really good to see the jute and finessed plastic. Your work is like magic to me. I guess when you have knowledge AND patience that is what you can accomplish. I am lacking in both. Lol

Oh I don’t believe that for an instant Tony. From what I’ve seen you have plenty of both.

I honestly can’t remember if I documented the harness mounts in detail or not. I think I did, but not sure. Might be worth going back and digging through the thread to find out for sure.

So… With all the rear interior and seats reinstalled, and the floor pans lined with jute, no more “alien” vibe anymore??
😉😉

Not as much alien vibes. Nothing wrong with alien vibes though. Definitely Oldsmobile for sure 👍

Posting this in The Juggernaut thread and not in the “What did you do to your shop today” thread, because I’m going to be trying to step up my fabrication game in 2023 BIG TIME.

Spent a lot of $$$ this holiday break, and have got some really cool new toys with more on the way. Already picked up a full set of dimple dies, in sizes of 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, 1 1/4”, 1 1/2”, and 1 3/4”…

…and found a really good deal on an entry level English wheel I can use in my vise:

Looks like I’m going to be learning how to wheel!

I was going to stop there, but decided this morning to pull the trigger on a couple more things. Got onto the @eastwood.com website, and ordered a powered drive system for my bead roller…

…as well as a table for it:

These two accessories will make my bead rolling operations much easier and more efficient/comfortable/convenient. No more having to recruit a second person for anything, I’m especially stoked about the drive motor. Speed adjustable, and foot pedal controlled, this is going to be a huge game changer.

So excited about these new tools, and can’t wait to start putting them to use!

Very nice Donovan! I can't wait to see the work that these tools will enable you to do. That English wheel looks pretty cool. Is that a Princess Auto product?

Oh hell yeah. Can't wait to see what you have planned with the dimple dies! Also what you can cook up with an English wheel.
