Just joined, have a 86 cutlass and a 83 Malibu wagon that I just picked up.

Cutlass blew the 307 so have another to go in til I can build one of my olds 403s for it.

The wagon has a straight 6 that was swapped into it by the previous owner that im going to work on gettting to run until I can decide what I wanna put in it.

Welcome aboard! The old Chevy straight 6 is a tried and proven engine. I would try to get it running, drive it around, and see what it feels like.

Please share pictures of the malibu with the I6 engine. I'm curious what they did with the shroud and such. There were some I6 gbodies brought into the states.

If it's like how my MIA '81 wagon was set up there wasn't any. But they did do a good job on the crossmember to run the exhaust on the driver side.

Welcome to the group, looking forward to the pics
