Ok, see...I was with you, until I saw that part that's bolded and enlarged...
Seriously, what the **** would make you say that?! Maybe where YOU live it's like that, but come here...the city is FULL of Black people on 26's or bigger. Where on earth did you get the idea that "we can't afford...
16's?! Jesus Christ...my factory rims on my Impala aren't even that small.
Exactly what is it that most of you have against "big rims?" (Spare me the whole "center of gravity" speech and anything closely related). It's funny, cause in the "big wheel" circuit, anything 22" and under isn't...
No, you wouldn't...what you like is what you like.
Stereotypically, all the Black guys would be driving cars on big *ss rims, White guys would either have tuners or street rods/hot rods, and hispanics would all be hittin switches in their '64 with Kandy Paint...
BUT, it's not that way...and...
BINGO...
I'm heavy into the "big rim" scene (Donks are '71-'76 Caprices/Impalas), and even we can't stand this car...
On the flipside, it isn't driven at all...only an attraction for their shop in Warren, Ohio
You can also use the top from an 80's LeBaron...
To do it RIGHT, expect to pay $8-$10K...I know a lot of people who have had Box Chevy's ('77-'90) done and that's what they paid to have a fully functional top
"open the doors and see a different color"?! Who does that?! Man, when I get my stuff painted, it's door jambs, under the hood and all...no half-assing around here.
...And I'll be showing it at different shows. It may not get as much "respect" by some of the purists at Good Guys, World of...
Well, the car has a little bit of rust and is faded, so the car has to be repainted regardless.....if I'm gonna spend money on it, I might as well make it somethin that I want. I'm redoing the original scheme...just adding a bit more "umph" to it.
Personally, I'm a huge fan of...
Lol...I hear you on the factory color! It's nice...that's why I chose to stick w/the variation of it, just a slightly darker grey on top with more of a "glossy" look to it. My friend suggested Red, which I figured would look pretty good...there's a Charger in our city with those colors (I'll try...
As my screen name shows, I've got a '87 Cutlass 442....I'm trying to bring back this paint job, except 10 times better:
Instead of the factory color, I'm thinking of using this 2 colors: House of Kolor Galaxy Grey (top) and Orion Silver (bottom):
Top: (Galaxy Grey)
Bottom: (Orion Silver)...
Hmmmm...so you think using the SS spoiler would be a little better? I think I'll have one of my friends try and photoshop it on to see what it'll look like
I've been thinking of adding a GN or MC SS spoiler to my trunk lid...I've always liked those a lot, since they keep a low profile and slope off the edge of the trunk. How do you think it'd look? Should I do it, or stay away from it?
You can definitely put 22's on there without any modifications. The only thing you need to change are the tires (has to be a 30-series) and you may need spacers to push the back rims off the frame (depending on the width)
