455 is the best bet, just get the appropriate frame and engine mounts. I swapped the 260 out of my 79 cutlass and used Hooker Headers. Still wish I had the car

If you are young, go back to school and run as fast as you can from being a mechanic. The pay goes down each year and the repairs get harder. A student at one of these trade schools, graduate with 30,000 Bill. Then they find a job,(dont forget you are competing with the illegals and foreigners...

Rebuilt the carburetor on 84 Regal with 355..going to get it ready to sell :( ..I need funds to finish my 1970 Cutlass :D

Found the floor boards were rotten out,Welded the new ones inSeam Sealer and Primer. Luckily most parts were available online, I remember going to the junkyards when I was 16 and older to try and find parts..

Grafted the trunk divider and back/window cross member.Made sure I cleaned and painted the inside of the divider.

I bought Trunk Divider it was advertised for a 70 Cutlass but it was for a Chevelle. The cheap Chinese part did not fit of course, so I had to graft it to the sheetmetal crossmember that I got the junkyard.

I found the replacement panel in Arizona, l called everywhere, Texas etc. Luckily I found one in Desert Valley Auto Parts. A cutlass had the back broken so it did rust from the condensation that runs down the back window.

This piece at the rear and trunk meet are not made by any aftermarket company's so if you have a 68-72 Cutlass you may want to inspect and paint.

It had the Powder Blue exterior Paint, and it is expensive money pit. Not for the weak of heart or experience..it would have been cheaper in the long run so far to buy one already done.No One makes this panel where the back glass and trunk meet.Of course GM neglected to paint it or undercoat it.

I thought I took more interior shots before gutting the car.The humidity is a killer here in Washington State..
