Hey ppl. I got some heartbreaking news the other day. You guys probably remember this restoration object.
I heard from a friend that someone saw my project in the scrapper.. I called today, and they said it is now crushed into a cube of metal
I worked hard for a whole year with this...
Buenas dias! Maybe noches, for the timezone over there in the US.
I think some of you remember I had a Cutlass Supreme project in Norway. I have now moved to Spain, and Im starting to look for another car to buy.
What I have realized is that american classic is not easy to find here. The few who...
Looks very good that one. But its an 85' and that would make me have to wait untill next year to register it. Because we have a veteran-car (30 years and older) rule in Norway.
All cars thats newer than 30 years is wicked expensive to tax in..
But thanks for looking. Would be a great driver that one
Hi everyone. I've been away a little after I sold my Cutty project.
I'm thinking about importing a Monte Carlo from the US to Norway, since I see theres a lot of good buys on craigslist.
Is this one of you guys? http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/cto/4444488713.html
It sais salvage title, but it...
I think this was so severe rusted out because it has been driven in Norwegian salty winter roads.
But there a many g's with rust in the U.S. Even in the frame. Your car is a lucky buy I think
Hi people.
Sadly, I have to tell you that the project went away today. I sold it for about 2500 $
It was time to think about other things now, my economy and situation made it too hard to finish it. But at least the new owner is a g body enthusiast and it will be finished this year he said. I...
Thanks for checking out the thread guys
Well, it has no plugs right now. I've just rolled bits of paper towls into a ball and stuffed every opening of the engine.. Not that this is 100% air-tight but I think it helps. It has no exhaust headers either.
I will think about spraying some...
Hey everybody (that love the g-body ;p)
It has been a while since I've even touched my project. Well I decided to go for a trip to Spain, and hurried up to pack the car together so it could be moved. Spent 3 days alone in the workshop (and a lot of beer), to get it from bare frame to rolling on...
Very nice job on these! I actually like the "nascar look" on the last one, but I don't want to eliminate any air ducts. So I want the first one. Maybe I only will add the turnsignals, highbeam and ebrake. So 2 1/16" is the size I need for water/oil/fuel/volt then. What about the speedo and tach...
I want to swap out my original instruments with all Auto Meter ultra-lite electric gauges.
I've seen pictures of home made clusters to fit these, but does anyone have a template with measures etc?
Also there's a complete cluster on gbodyparts but it has not yet been launched for sale.
Anyway...
I'd say, here in Norway that price isn't too much. But a whole Cutlass for that price is probably a total wreck or an entire frame off job with severe rust.. Like mine was.
Everything is more expensive over here..
Well, first of all I want to say this is a great forum. I'm here daily to read tips'n'tricks, other's projects and offcourse to help out others when I can. And it feels cool to be stationed in Norway and have such good contact with the U.S. G-owners at the same time. I wonder if there are more...
