    GRAND PRIX Decent price?

Looking at the pictures, I was wondering if the " Renaissance Guy" was the owner. I figured as much as he's "firing" up one. I loved my bench seat cars back in the day. I think its a deal, I like GP's. Start looking for a T-iac engine, as in PonT-iac.

    Operation Lipstick on a Pig

I wouldn't change anything. Consistency is everything in winning dial in drag races. Most track champs are slower but consistent cars that are dialed in to run their number. Get a weather station and keep a log on weather conditions then sit back and rake in the green. Give up drag racing the...

84 SS Maiden Voyage through Pittsburgh

    My Father's Oldsmobile

Hmm, Mr Trimble is a lot smarter than me. I wish I'd seen this sooner. I feel the 1.09" bearing/bushing is the way to go. Being "oldschool" I dug out my Mondello book at used his dimensions. If I live long enough to need anymore, I'll "steal" that idea. I used Auto Gear pilot bushings and gave...

    My Father's Oldsmobile

Usually a 5/8" tap will thread thru the pilot bushing. Thread in till it bottoms, keep turning and the bushing threads out. Basically the same as your bolt. If the ID of the bearing is worn out go one size larger on the tap. Was your crankshaft machined to Mondello's blueprint specs?

    Joke of the day

The owner of a golf course was confused about paying an invoice, so he decided to ask his secretary for some mathematical help. He called her into his office and said, 'You graduated from the University of Michigan and I need some help. If I were to give you $20,000, minus 14%, how much would...

    Joke of the day

An elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed him to hear 100%. He went back in a month and the doctor said, 'Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really...
