Question for you guys who dont drive there gbody in the winter, how often do you start your car? is it good to start it and let it idle for a while every couple weeks? or does that do more harm than good?

So I installed the new rear end, and with my 3 speed th400 it runs at brutally high rpms lol I dont mind it but there's no way I could go any faster than 100km/hr. Good learning experience for sure! :mrgreen:

Thanks for the replies, I just scored a posi 3.73 gear off a buddy. He had it in his 81 cutlass. 250 bucks I think its a decent deal.

Just a few questions, my monte has its original rear end which I hear is junk and Im wanting to change it. Problem is I dont have much knowledge about them.. Maybe you guys can help. Im wanting my car to be a fast street car. Maybe some trips to the track but for the most part a quick cruiser...

Thinking of swapping my cam to a more aggressive one, but I am worried of messing up the timing etc.. and causing the engine to run like crap. I love how the engine is running now. If I were to mark my dist. and remove the timing cover and put dot to dot and just make sure everything goes back...

My 84 accord wont run for more than 2 mins without it stalling. Its weird, i've replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil. Tested the fuel pump for pressure and output over a 60 second band and its all good. Anyone have any ideas? I realize its no gbody, but i would really appreciate anything.

Installed a chrome dress up kit, painted a few things under the hood and cleaned up the engine all together. Looks killer

no they never worked. and they don't wiggle. But i noticed a bit of black around the terminals. I'm thinking that might be why?

I'm in the middle of changing my dash lights and I noticed that with all new light bulbs only half of them work. Any idea as to why? Is it my cluster that needs replacing?

damn, you are right! I pulled my cap off and put it to TDC number 1 compression for SURE and it was pointing 180 away from where it should. But something im confused about is, the mark on my balancer is also 180 out. But it sits on a dowl pin. So i dont understand how it is out also.
