Thanks for the suggestions. Mixing advice from here and from a guy at work I bought a set of load adjusting shocks. I'm gonna try those first. If that doesn't work, I've got a set of springs from a Caprice to use until new ones get here. 20161022_144748-800x450.jpg

This is how the car sits now when empty.

I'm installing the new shocks now. I'll post the results when I'm finished.

Well the new shocks didn't help a lot on their own so I ended up putting in a set of rear springs from a '95 Caprice.

The Caprice spring is on the left.

Which made the car sit quite a bit higher when empty.

And it sits about right when loaded.

I also adjusted the back brakes up and changed front tires. The car rides so much better now. I think I'll still order a new set of Moog CC651 springs for the rear and figure out what springs and shocks I want for the front. Right now I'm gonna give it a good run down the curvy back road I live on and see how it handles.

Looking at how your car sat empty before I would say you were do for some rear springs anyways.

Yes, it needed new springs before the air shocks went bad but I was putting it off till I was ready to replace all of the springs and shocks. The front springs have blocks in them to hold them up. Hopefully soon I can replace them and put new shocks on too. These new rear shocks ride so much better than the air shocks!! The air shocks were way too stiff when aired up., The ride is so much smoother. It's got me wanting a rear sway bar too though.
