Chambered mufflers kill scavenging but those factory manifolds killed the flow anyway...

I'm wondering if the 4 year span between sessions is a factor.

Mufflers are a restriction. Especially chambered. The question is, it's 30hp less, is that 15hp per side?
Not really.

You need a cross over, this case with a lower RPM Engine I recommend an H-pipe.

Still need to lean it out, 12.8:1 or so.

Weather and type of dyno are major factors. Low power condition can be due to detonation with that high of timing. Dynamic compression probably isn't that high but still a big factor to know here.

Freshly rebuilt 355 between the fenders and a new set of drag wheels and tires!

A little progess and a good bit more confusion, I guess that is par for the course. The good is we resolved the shifting issues with the transmission, turned out to be a hole in the rubber vacuum line which we replaced. Then we put on a new factory starter to see if the old one was just not enough once it got hot after it was turning the locked motor, at first it seemed to have solved the issue of heat soak/not wanting to restart after running a bit but not sitting for more than 15 minutes. We had tested it a few times after a couple of runs down the road to get some heat in her and see, she restarted smoothly there so we figured we would take it a bit further and try where she basically died out last time we went to take a cruise.
That place must be haunted cause as I pulled up to it and started to already back up the car stalled and then didn't want to start for a good 10 minutes or so and really only started when I put my foot on the gas. It does the slow crank like it doesn't have enough juice for some reason, so finally after letting it sit a bit as I said she started with a blip of the gas so we ran it back to the shop and just as I pull in it stalls and dies again. Same deal, slow crank and doesn't want to fire. We let it sit a bit and looked around at other stuff and then fired up again after sitting 10 to 15 minutes just fine. While messing around with that it got my one head unit weirded out so I am hoping that doesn't continue to happen. Gonna try to see if I can get the battery I got as a replacement will be able to get swapped out since it has a much lower CCA which I think also doesn't help matters and is smaller so also probably has less of a reserve as I run all the electronics

Went to the closest U pull it today and the pickings were nothing. No 80's GM at all, only 80's stuff was a Ford station wagon and a Mercedes sports car. Even the pickings for Ford Panthers were slim, they only had two. They even hardly had cars period. Most of the vehicles in there now are trucks, vans, SUVs, and crossovers.

It's been nice here the last two days so I drove my Regal to work both days.
I am on the road all day in the work truck so my counter guy gets asked questions about my car all day long and he doesn't know a thing about cars.

I had headers on it during the previous dyno test.
Also, perhaps. Doesn't feel down on power significantly.

to summarize:
you increased timing, got a better AFR ratio, better exhaust system

.....and you LOST power and torque? o_O
I went and looked back through pics, I had headers installed before the last dyno session. Only things that changed was timing, carb tune, and adding mufflers.
