What did you do to your G-Body today 2024

I don't know if it's still in production but at one time 3M sold these clear adhesive transfer strips. how it worked was you would leave the existing foam adhesive on the back of your script and press this transfer on and upon removal it left the adhesive where it needed to be and only where it needed to be.was a time saver.
Have a few sleeves of that, still in production as far as I know 3M 08069


I also use a really thin clear tape by Colad that will stick to the OE tape, and is much easier to cut than the tape above

I was going to post about that stuff. Used to sell a ton of that stuff to all the independent shops.
 
Finished off replacing the valve springs and stem seals on the 305, a very tideous job to perform. I used the rope method to keep the valves from dropping due to the limited access caused by the TES headers. No way I could screw on a air hose adpator with those headers.

Picked the ol girl up, she seems to be right now except for that dam tail light. Got it back and in but still can't get it to work right, gonna have to do some more trouble shooting there but par for the course

Check the socket, those 80s ones would come apart on the inside of them I've fixed a few.
Good thinking, I appreciate it but pretty sure we wired the Digi-tails direct outside of the socket. But honestly had so many other issues I didn't really focus on this, I am gonna get in there with the power probe and see what I can come up. The one thing I had noticed was the wiring difference between the 84 and 87-88 which mine is an 84 but has the 87-88 tails so gonna look how the difference in wiring plays out
 
Very awkwardly changed bearings without removing the pistons. Buick 350s have 6.385" long rods so it was a challenge. Had to enlist the fiancé to help.

Also, I had to reuse an upper main bearing shell. Idk if they were packaged wrong or what, but the only grooved bearing left had the tang in the wrong spot. Hence reusing the best of the old set, with mild cleanup with some 800 or something paper. Might have been 1000, idk.
