A bit of flooding/ backfiring will do it. Now that you've got the wires in order you can check for vacuum leaks, adjust the timing, and tweak the carb if necessary.
Finally. After 4 months I got to drive this thing around the block.
This motor is actually pretty stout for low compression nonsense. No smoke or weird noises or blow by. All and all it seems like it's going to be a good cruiser.

Hell yeah! I'll have to get that afterwork today. That motor can really build some torque for just 300. I'm guessing it has a tad more since a cutlass is significantly heavier.Way to go, man!
I've been looking around the Cincy area for other 4 doors in case I need parts. I guess they just aren't as sought after like the 2 door.Interesting engine swap. Better than an LS. Not that it's a bad engine, it's just that I think there's more LS engines in G-bodies now than their original V8s. I exaggerate to clarify.
