BUILD THREAD 78 Malibu 350 rocket build kind of

A bit of flooding/ backfiring will do it. Now that you've got the wires in order you can check for vacuum leaks, adjust the timing, and tweak the carb if necessary.

I had to swap out the Eddy 600 with the 750 I use as a door stop.

I think someone managed to bang the check ball under neath of the nozzle into the hole on the 600. The jet nozzle keeps working only on and off

Now that it runs somewhat. All that's left is exhaust and fuel lines. Hopefully this thing can come off the jackstands and hit the road.

Finally. After 4 months I got to drive this thing around the block.

This motor is actually pretty stout for low compression nonsense. No smoke or weird noises or blow by. All and all it seems like it's going to be a good cruiser.

Let's see a video of that baby humming!

Way to go, man!

Interesting engine swap. Better than an LS. Not that it's a bad engine, it's just that I think there's more LS engines in G-bodies now than their original V8s. I exaggerate to clarify.

For anyone wondering if on how I got the motor in there without g body motor mounts it was real hillbilly but I got it to work took and flipped a set of A body mounts upside down

I've been looking around the Cincy area for other 4 doors in case I need parts. I guess they just aren't as sought after like the 2 door.

Now with the motor I got it and the trans for free I wanted a good daily driver cruiser and a road trip vehicle.
