What did you do to your g-body today 2025 Edition!

I swapped out my water temp gauge yesterday. The old one was fluctuating between 160* and 240*. After changing the thermostat is when I realized the water temp gauge was the problem. I went with an electric gauge this time instead of a mechanical. It was cheaper but still expensive.

This's my 1st one piece rear main, had anyone ever noticed how bulky the fuel pump part of the block is and the pad that usually houses the i.d number stamping is very short? If I remember all my older ones were not like this.

IIRC there where some bleed over 1 piece mains that had mech pump boss. Not common but not unheard-of

took off all the accessories off the front of the motor and painted them, changed the alternator, removed the intake manifold to clean underneath as animals / rats were living in there but thankfully nothing was chewed up. Cleaned up the wiring, mounted the PCM, relays, fuses, changed the heater blower motor and resistor, and did some other small stuff. Next step will be to complete the interior. Then I need to tune the engine, I will attempt to do that myself. Then take the car for inspection so I can start driving it in the spring. Need to make a cover for the radiator / fans. Here is the current state of the engine bay:

Battery in the back?

Started getting the interior back together. Made my own headliner, painted the door sills black, took the carpet out to clean it, fixed some surface rust on the floor, added some sound deadening, painted rusty bolts, and did some other things. Next will be to wrap the dash bezel in gloss black, maybe do the same with the console shifter trim, and get a double din stereo installed.
