2 Piston Brake Calipers

I'll admit.... all these potential upgrades certainly gets the juices flowing.

Thanks for the details... illl keep everything noted if the time ever comes i've changed my mind.

But for now, im totaly happy with my current OEM disc/drum setup as long as everything is in 100% working order... im just a light weight cruiser, not a 1/4mile racer, street slalom or autocross chaser.

you can literally swap the whole front spindle and it will bolt right in. you are also better off swapping the MC and vacuum booster, because it's a lot easier to deal with the proportioning valve. for the rears, you can also pull the rear discs off the same Blazer, cut the dogear off the rear axle where the brake wheel cylinder mounts, drill two holes, and bolt it on. BAM! you now have rear discs!

I thought i heard in the past for the rears you can even pull them off a 4x4 S truck & just switch sides as the 2x4 & 4x4 use the same rear disk but the caliper position is one is front of the axle & the other rear of the axle.

for the rears it don't matter if its 4x4 or 4x2 only one that maters is the front it must be 4x2

Your close. 4wd calipers are on the front and 2wd calipers are on the rear. In that orientation the parkin brake cables mount from the front. Rotors are different. Requires 2nd rotors. The 4wd rotors are way too deep.

I'm no brake guru but I've done business with Southwest Speed multiple times and have never been displeased in any way.

If you do go with Blazer front brakes, I heard a good set of brake hoses to use are 1986 Corvette front hoses.

As for rear brakes, disc's stop quicker but drums have more holding power.

Apparently that seems to be the place where my 1 5/8" headers are from, same design, same bends, oval port, not D port to match my ZZ4 crate engine "113" heads.

By the looks on it in my engine bay, it seems to fit perfectly with plenty of clearence all around, and modest clearence for the angle plugs i have, too bad they dont offer 1 3/4" headers.
