What did you buy for your Gbody today? (2025)

Very cool! Are you planning on using it, or storing/ displaying it?

Picked up yet another head unit, I think I might need to find a support group..... but this time it should finally work the way I originally planned it when I built the Monte. I should be able to control my air ride and my Edlebrock through the head unit meaning I can get rid of the phone that I have attached to the gauge housing.

This is more a case of not what I bought but what finally arrived.

So it turns out that the insulation panels are actually the same part number no matter which door shell they get mounted on. The invoice and the catalogue show a left and right designation but the number for each side is the same.

Doesn't really seem to matter all that much; it only took somewhere around 8 or so months to have them show up on my doorstep.

The material looks like shredded cloth of some kind, possibly denim with a soup-con of polyester thrown for contrast. They don't come with the vinyl "skin" that the OEM's had, but that can be ginned up with a couple of heavy green garbage bags and some 3M 77 Spray Bomb contact cement.

For now they get to go into the parts bin for the doors that sits in the cabin in my Monte. I have a van project on the go now that the weather has shifted from snow and cold to rain and cold so need to get that completed to get the van ambulatory It still needs an oil change and an ATF change as well. Fortunately on that score the 700R4 received an oil pan with a drain plug last year so doing the change is now easier.

Is that the S8?
I think is the one I was looking at earlier.

Yeah I did the Ultra Plus 10.1, I think it has some cool features with the motions to control things while driving

Got my engraved hydraulic pump tanks and backing plates and my door vents back from the engraver! Whoot whoot! Man I needed this motivation.

I have 10 days off in April. Hope to get my interior back together and to get down on redoing my trunk set up. I have everything here now minus my vinyl glue and my seats, door panels and sail panels...still at the upholstery shop. Oh and still waiting on my engraved door sills. 🤞 they get here soon. Been waiting months on them bad boys.

I was going to try and make the tracks that were on the Marketplace Corbeaus work but I didn’t like how it was coming out. I ended up just ordering the correct brackets. Also ordered a new trans cooler with a fan. The Amazon “40k” I had was a knock off and didn’t seal well in the fittings.
Need to put a list together to finish order the parts needed to start on the turbo build.

I picked up a new set of rims and finally replaced those C3 Corvette rims I never liked.

I picked these up at the Good-Guys event this past weekend. By the time I got the wheels back to my car, the group I came with already had a floor jack out and ready. And by the time I dropped the car down, they had the old rims on a wagon and ready to take to the swap meet area in hopes to get them sold during the event. What a group of guys!

The 'Vette wheels looked good but you definitely upgraded, and it sounds like you run with great people.

B&M shifter for $60.
Don't know the particular model.
