What did you do to your non g-body project today [2025 edition]

If it isn't the tank cap then I am thinking that you are thinking about the evap canister, as in dropping the old one and installing a new one. Reason my mind drifted in that direction is that I have an evap code showing on my dash as well. That means a new canister install on the spring to do list for my S-10 and I plan to include a new evap module as well. Both items are already in the bin and await warmer weather so I can bring the truck in and do the deed in relative comfort.

Had an adventureful day yesterday, stayed and got the final bits of the hot side mocked up and my buddy welded one side of it fully. Then as I am about to go home notice that my tire is low, so throw some air in it to be able to get home. Well about halfway home I come to realize that the tire checks out of the chat, but decided I had enough of a day at work and knowing I still don't have power at home I say F it and drive it the rest of the way home. Was very tough for me because driving slow is pretty much painful to me, but finally made it home and pulled it off last night just as a second storm made its way to the area.

Making it through day 3.5 living the Amish life, dumped a 42 gallon bag of no longer cold/frozen food on the curb for the garbage truck, dealing with Jr. & the wife loose their collected minds with no electricity. Might be back to normal Monday. At least I don't have any trees needed to be cut up as the downed one are in the "back 40".

Mine came back late last night.

Thankful for having a genny, saved my refrigerators

Don't think that bag of ex-freezer stuff will on the curb for long. Once the resident critters get a whiff of it they will be lining up at the unexpected buffet table. Thinking crows for starters with 'coons and other ferals soon to follow. Might be worth the gas to take the bag out to the back 40 and dig a hole for it; about 6 foot deep or so, and bury it. Shame to see it go that way but rotten decaying food is also a sure bet to attract rats and them you don't need.
