I have had this motor together for a couple years and it just started missing this season. I was thinking about contacting msd.. I have a Holley HP pump 2 inline filters that are clean and a QF Holley 850 double pumper
I tried to capture the sound a few different ways and when I played it back it all sounds like the Same garbled mess.
I will see if I can get something with a better mic
Plugs have been changed, distributor gear is fine... I know it's #2 because that primary tube is considerably cooler than the others
I am running a msd 6al with a pro billet dist and a blaster coil
I close the gap on the plugs
Running 13.5 to 14 volts
#2 cylinder fires great when the motor is cool, as soon as it hits 150 degrees it randomly fires. What I have done: leak down, swapped msd boxes, swapped wires, checked and rechecked valve adjustment, intake gaskets, new distributor cap and rotor.... I am running out of ideas and all of these...
Around me G's get no respect unless its from another G owner. I have been asked when I am going to put it in the demo derby several times... Maybe it's because I painted it flat black.
