More than likely I'll just save it for a house or a shop. I used money out of my savings for it so I figure it's gotta go back. I did think about using the $3k to buy another car or truck that I could potentially flip for quite a bit more. We will see what comes up for sale around me. I always...
Well this project was short lived. I paid $1500 for the car and got an offer for $3000 12 days later. Not bad for only doing an oil change to it. It was a fun daily driver for that time but it was an offer I couldn't refuse.
Got some updates. The aerocoupe is in one piece and on the road. I have put a few miles on it recently to play with the FiTech. So far so good, I love the FiTech and can't see myself going back. A simple blip of the key and its up and running with no issues. I have a small oil leak at the front...
Well I got it fixed. It had the flasher hidden back by the radio like GP403 said. I feel dumb because I have been in a lot of these cars and have yet to see one like that. Thanks for the input.
On my 82 Regal my turn signals do not work. No lights come on at all. Every Gbody I have ever looked at has had 2 spots for flashers on the fuse box. One at the top of the box and one at the bottom. This fuse box has the 2 locations but only the top spot has the spades to plug in a flasher. The...
I broke my rule of not starting another project while not having the first one finished. A buddy of mine was selling this Regal so I had to buy it. Has a Buick 455, TH400 and a horrible granny rear end. Ironically enough the corvette rallies on it came off my wrecked 83 SS. I sold em, the guy...
I have the "regular" 8.5 mm MSD wires on the big block. I love the multi angle boots. I melted one boot to the header on cam break in, pulled it off, wrapped it in electrical tape and it was fine. I have since replaced that wire but no other issues here. My dad has had the same wires in his 68...
I had to lift the engine a little bit then they slid right in. My 2241s I had to left the engine a lot more. Im sure if you had a lift or a way to lift the front of the car very far off the ground you could finagle them in with engine and trans bolted in. I only had a normal jack and couldn't...
I have used both the 2241s and the 2455s. The 2455 headers dropped in a lot easier but the 2241s leave more space for everything around them. Only reason I swapped my 2455s for 2241s was because I found em on craigslist for $150. I have a buddy with a pair of 2241s for sale. He wants $200 for em...
Thanks for the help guys but I think im gonna pass. The dude seems too shady for me. I must not be alone on that because the car has been for sale for 3 weeks.
I have a line on a 68 Olds 4-4-2. Its just the body nothing else. Its solid, for sale cheap, fairly close to me and one of my favorite all time cars so I got to thinking.... I contacted the seller and he still has it but has NO TITLE, CAR HAS NO VIN PLATE OR COWL PLATE. Does anyone know if there...
6 days is completely doable. Start spraying the bolts down with PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench, etc....in hopes of making it a little easier. Since you said you need to repair the rear frame rails I can't imagine every bolt coming out in one piece. When I had bolts break inside the body I took a cut...
Hooker 2455's are A body not F body headers. I believe 68-72. Those are what I originally ran and they fit pretty good. An easier install than my swap headers.
