1979 Monte Carlo,I knew my springs were sagged just did not know how much.So I had to guess as to how it would turn out.I had to pay someone to install them because I dont have the tools or the know how to change them.I put 1.5 lowering all the way around. The back ended at 1/2 lower than it was which is just what I wanted, but the front only changed 1/8 inch if that.So now the front is a 1/2 inch or a little more higher than the back.I was hoping to get the front abought 1/2 inch lower than the back.So I guess I will have to pay to have them taken back out and cut.Is there a such thing as a 1 inch lowering spindle? I thought I saw a thread that told how much to cut out to lower it a certain amount but can't find it now.I thought it even showed pictures of the coil as to where to cut it. Any other suggestions. Thanks Hutch949

Just find a loading dock/ramp and take it at speed a couple times, that should do the trick. Kidding, like soflog mentioned the springs have to settle first.

what brand of springs did you install and have you talked to the company who makes them yet to let them know your concerns?

You can lower another inch by using 1" longer lower ball joints

I found out the hard way that if you use a longer lower ball joint with stock lower control arms you need to fold the lip in on the lower control arm. The lower control arm sits in the void just above the disk surface. With a longer lower ball joint it moves the disk up and the lower control arm will ride on the disk making deep groove .

They are BMR springs and have not talked to them yet,how long does it take for them to settle?

Drive it for a day for a day or two. Use an old fashioned tape measure from the fender lip to the ground now to see where its at. Measure again after driving it. The spring will work around in the lower control arm until it rests in the stop.

You need to drive it a few times. They will settle. Also make sure they were installed correctly. They go in a certain way.
