    What is your other car?

What other projects do you have in mind?

I'd like to find another Fiero and do another 151 up for it, except this time I'd like to use either all super duty parts and push it out to 181 cubic inch, or do the Super Duty Lower end in 181 cubic inch with the extremely rare Cosworth DOHC top end on it. That and the somewhat current...

Idk what it is about honda talk but it cracks me up

   Well it's somewhat easy to get rid of the speed limiter on Saturn manuals trans cars. You install a computer from an auto trans car, but you set a code off, which in NY is no huge deal as long as it's an OBDI vehicle.

Idk what it is about honda talk but it cracks me up

I used to be into the Saturn cars. I still like them but the forum I used to frequent is no longer around. I don't know if your familiar with saturns at all, but the S series DOHC cars have speedometers that go up to 135mph, yet are governed to 115.(fuel shut off) I once had a local kid tell me...

What makes YOU mad as hell when driving?

I hate people that can't stay in the lane on offramps. There are several offramps that I frequent often enough, and when following people they always go to the right of the white line, which most times is uneventful, but I have seen at least twice where 1 a vehicle or motorcycle was pulled off...

What makes YOU mad as hell when driving?

Just about everyone in my town makes me angry when driving, but a big one that gets me is not turning right on red when there are no vehicles in sight and it's totally legal for the vehicle to turn. Heck I even get Road Rage walking in the local wally world when I have to go there. I tend to...

Should I even mess with this?

I'd also see if he can get some better pictures. The bottom of the bore isn't all that bad looking to me, I've sleeved worse. It's what you really can't see that kind of bothers me. The top left of the one picture looks like the oil pan rail is cracked. Believe it or not I think I have a 4.625...

    Supercharger Question

What is your budget for heads and misc. stuff to go with them? You can look into the Edelbrock line of cylinder head packages that come with the heads, cam, and intake manifold that should all match, or you can piece it together a little at a time as you can afford it.

    193 heads on a Carbureted Chevy 350

I don't remember, are these the Swirl Port Heads? If so they are a bottom end truck head, and I've seen many of them cracked, unless they are the heavy duty truck head with the 3/8 exhaust valves and hardened exhaust seats installed from the factory. Those were less likely to crack but flow even...

    Summitracing VS jegs

yeah I should have made it clear I don't go to the big box stores if I don't have to. Still plenty of smaller race shops that deal with places like Keystone and other like places around here. I once needed a timing cover gasket for a SBC that I called and gave the Felpro number to the person...

    Supercharger Question

I'd second the not going with the 210's unless you either want the stock cubic inches to have to rpm high which brings it out of the street range or you are going for a large displacement. With the 350 I'd stick within a range from 180-200cc runners. As stated above what power range are you...

    tape measure

I'd second getting what I call a Dummy Tape, and I also use one for setting up the oil pump pickups in engines.

    Summitracing VS jegs

I've dealt with both, and have had pretty much the same experiences with both of them(both good and bad), I have also dealt with Doug Herberts Performance, again with about the same experience. I go local when I can.

    headbolts????????????

Can't go wrong with ARP's with the exception of their oil pan stud kits. On more than one occasion I've gotten some with nuts that were not threaded. It's really no big deal as they made good, it's just the first time it happened I was laying on my back on a creeper under the engine stand as...

    headbolts????????????

Don't quote me on the part number since I'm going from my head, but I think it was S327 and 2 are needed per engine, but I do know NAPA does carry them, and here's pics of the V6 we used them on.

    headbolts????????????

Pioneer I believe it is makes a nice 6 point head bolt that the outside exhaust head bolts are a stainless coated shiny bolt. I also believe the price for both cylinder heads is around $55, and they come with the sealer already on the threads, just use a little arp lube under the head of the...

    timing sets for roller cam

The cloyes one for $75 is good, and I've found that some of comp cams timing sets are just re-boxed cloyes sets anyways. Your using a long water pump right? I've been finding that a lot of the aluminum timing covers cannot be used with short water pumps.

    piston rings

The Moly's are fine I'd get the non-file fit rings because the KB pistons need to be file fit with a larger gap anyways. The file fit rings tend to have way too much to file off with KB pistons.

Need some answers on header gaskets/hardware

As bar as the bolts go, just drill the bolt head and safety wire them. It works extremely well, and is relatively easy to do.

Spotted a G-Body that Irene got to.

I would love to, but I'm not quite sure how to go about this right now. FEMA is involved with the town now. Here are some other pictures of the area, they are clickable.
