    AC/Heater Box removel??

    What all is invovled when removing the AC box from the firewall? Are all the mounting bolts in the engine compartment? its a 78 cutlass.

    I have a 78 cutlass, will 275/60/15s on 7" rims work? They did notch the framerails & stuffed 22s on it at one time if that helps. They have a 4" BS.

    Changing gears?

    What all is involved other then the ring/pinion/bearings? Does the carrier need shimming from side/side with different pinion sizes? I've never done it before, I'm wanting to go from my 4.11s to 3.42s.

    Weighed the cutlass.

    Its a 78, came in at 3057 without me, its a 406, other then no AC compressor/condensor, it has all its metal & glass, full interior, just replaced the bench with a pair of racing seats, it has PS & PBs, manual windows.

    Hows it looking? It'll soon have a 406. I dyed all the interior, it was green. 8) This was when i got it.

    Headers?

    What brand of headers will fit my 78 cutlass with a 406 & iron eagle angle plugs, needing part #s, I heard the hedmans fit good, there was also another brand as well but forgot the name, both were around the 175.00 mark.

    I have a chance to buy a 9" rearend houseing thats been converted for a G body, its 1" longer on each side, they want 150.00 for it, is this a good price?

    78 cutlass engine wiring diagrams?

    I need to find any wiring diagrms for the starter/ignition on my 78 cutlass, looks like there was a relay in the middle upper firewall if i'm not mistaken, I think i found the dist. wire, but need to find the starter wire/wires, came with the 260 V8 olds Thanks. 3R47F8M577356

    7.5" pinion nut size?

    Got to reading on a thread & it says one way to identify an 8.5" is its 1.1/4" pinion nut, well i was under the asumption i had a 7.5" under my cutlass, it has a posi unit, & the pinion nut is 1.1/4", the back cover has the ring gear bulge (drivers side), is this an 8.5" rear??

    Bought my 1st. cutlass.

    Got it yesterday, its a 78, not the prettiest but its rust free, i'll take a few pics & post them, I do however have my work cut out for me, they installed 22s at one point for show & broke out the die grinder, its not real bad anyway. 8)

    Cam for a 406?

    At this moment i'm putting together a 406 for either a Cutlass or an S-10, don't know yet, It will be primarily a street cruiser, What cam would you pick for a build like this. Hyd. FT 406, 9.6.1 compression Dart 200cc iron eagles. 1.5/8 headers LTs Either a perf. RPM or single (don't know yet)...

    New here.

    Just wanted to say hello, Still looking for that right G body, leaning more towards the Cutlass or Malibu, but i do have a 406 sb in the waiting, so if any of you have a 400 in your cars, would like to know how they run & what your combo is. :)
