I've got a B&M 162 blower on mine, and they do pack a punch. They are not as efficient in the higher rpm b/c they will create heat, but you can run them on a stock motor keeping the boost to around 5lbs and if you want more then you will want to get better bottom end parts. If your thinking on...
I haven't heard very many good things about blueprint engines. Look at the gm performance parts engines or like others say build one yourself and do it cheaper.
I set the boxes side by side and the flats are in a bit different location to each other with the pitman arm facing the same way. so i figured i'd try the steering wheel adjustment first before i go under the car and it worked.
well i went out to the garage today, pulled the steering wheel off. drilled a new hole for the spring, to make the horn work put the wheel back on, it's straight and i have equal turns from side to side.
I tried to loosen it off but that thing is tighter than a nun's( c u next tuesday). if the wheels are straight i have equal turns from one side to the next.
If i adjust the wheel with the tie rod adjusters would'nt that limit the amount of turning i have to one side? i'm thinkng it would be easier to adjust it at the column.
Normally the spokes on the steering wheel would be parallel with the dash, now the spokes point to the floor and roof. (i have a steering wheel from an earlier z/28).
I've always liked the look without the power steering there. My dad has a 72 z/28 with manual steering and it just shows off...
Well my buddy just left his the way it is, he said there's no correcting it but i found that hard to believe. Plus he's a mechanic and they always neglect there car since they work on them all day.
The reason for the manual change is for cleaning up the engine bay and tired of getting a bit of...
If i remember i think the flats were in a different spot. Never touched the column, just took the 3 bolts out slid the box from the rag joint and put it back in, in the same spot and lined the flats up. The wheels were straight when i put it in aswell.
Thanks for the help guys
All i did was take the old box off, I never took the pitman arm off. I used the pitman arm that was on the manual box bolted it up (tires were straight) lined the flat on the box to the flat on the shaft and tightened it up.
