I sent them the measurements I wanted them to be. As far as cost for the swap.....spindles $40, C5 calipers brackets $70 each (reman from the parts store), Kore3 bracket $130, Drilled/Slotted Rotors and pads $160.
They clear without any modifications as long as your rear end is centered. I would say worst case scenario you might have to trim some of the fender lip.
Yeah....I use to drag race an ‘84 Cutlass and it was Chevy powered. When I bought my ‘85 442 I promised myself that it would stay Oldsmobile powered. I just hope this motor is very streetable cause I drive mine a lot when the weather is nice. I long hauled it last year on the Power Tour with a...
The motor was already built and ran. It was in a ‘72 Cutlass and drag raced. The guy tore it down to freshen it up and put a hydraulic cam in it and decided to build a bigger motor so he put this one up for sell.
Does anyone know or have a part number on a set of valve covers that will clear roller rockers and not hit the heater core box an ‘85 442. I’m getting ready to do a motor swap and the motor has tall Rocket Racing aluminum valve covers and I’m afraid they’re not going to clear without modifying...
Thanks for the info guys. I’m installing a built Olds 350 and I’m estimating it to be around the 400hp range. The cheapest I’ve found to have my transmission built to handle the power is going to cost me $3000 with new converter. Just trying to find a cheaper solution without losing my lightning...
I have an ‘85 442 that has lightning rods in it. Has anyone ever put a different transmission other than the 200-4r behind an Oldsmobile motor with lightning rods.
You can still use the stock master cylinder. If you use the stock spindle it has to be modified. I switched cause I like the thoughtbof not having to pack wheel bearings anymore and it’s sealed and easy to change if it would go bad.
Sorry....I’m not on here much and I don’t get notified. The pedal feels great. It’s not really soft or hard. It’s really perfect to me. It’s like driving a newer car.
I'm not stressing at all. I had a blast and was very pleased with the car and myself for being my first time doing it. It's definitely an adrenaline rush.
